Special Settings

Salutations! I hope that everyone has mastered the basic laundry skills. I would like to begin this entry with a public service announcement. When washing your clothes, please place the detergent in the designated compartment. It does not belong in the same area that you put your clothes. Putting laundry soap in this area will result in a large amount of suds that will further prevent others from using that machine. Now, let’s talk about what to do in special situations. You have cleaned your clothes successfully. But what happens if you have a specialty item, like a tie-dye shirt? Well, have no fear! After creating your new, brightly colored item, simply wash it by itself with the hottest water and then place in the dryer. It is very important to keep it separate from other clothes. Otherwise, bleeding could occur. After wearing this cool t-shirt, keep washing separately in order to keep your other garments safe. After the first few initial washes, it will be safe to integrate your shirt into your normal load. In the special case that you have multiple tie-dye items, it is ok to wash them together. I hope that this will help you in making future laundry decisions. Also, new jeans can have this effect. Wash separately to avoid bleeding. Have a wonderful week. Keep coming back for more laundry news.

Useful Laundry Tips

Greetings! I am here to give you the laundry tips as promised. One of the most useful tips I can think of is to simply wash your clothes in cold water. You may be thinking that particular setting is only for delicates. While it is great for a delicate load, it also allows you to wash whites and colors together. This can save you time and a whole dollar! Now another little tip would be to dry on medium heat to prevent any of your clothes from shrinking. No one likes a sweater that is too tight. If you want a nice, clean, fresh scent I suggest using Gain. It gets the job done and leaves clothes fresh without having an overpowering odor. My final tip is about when to do your laundry. Any day will work because the laundry room is always open. However, keep in mind when you begin to slam the dryer door at one in the morning someone can hear you. That person is most likely trying to sleep at this hour on a Wednesday night and does not appreciate having to listen to all of your ruckus or your even your conversations for that matter. So next time you think about a late night laundry escapade, please reconsider and simply wait until a decent hour. Those are my laundry tips of the day.
